About
I am orginally from Monroeville, AL, home of Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird. I was raised in a family and community that values honesty, integrity, and hardwork. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree is early childhood and elementary education. I later received my masters in Media Services from the University of West Georgia.
My family moved to Clermont in 2009. I’ve been serving our Clermont community since moving here. I was the vice-president of the Historical Society, coordinated and organized the establishment of the library at The Dip (across from Concord Baptist Church), was the co-founder and co-manager of The Clermont Farmers Market, organizer of The Clermont Christmas Tour of Homes, was involved in the organization of and town decorations for Clermont Days for many years, and founded Pickin’ in the Park. I served on Town Council from 2014 to 2017, during which I led projects for a new playground at The Dip, the renovation of the Grover and Lucille Hood Community Center, and beautifying the entrance to Clermont on Hwy 129.
I served as the media specialist at Mt. Vernon Exploratory School for 12 years. I am currently serving the community as the media specialist at Wauka Mountain Academy, the Hall County Schools District Media Services Coordinator, and as of February 2024, a Realtor with Twiggs Realty.
I have a strong faith in God and deep ties to my family. I return to south Alabama as often as possible to visit my family and to work on restoring my 1835 farmhouse. I have two sons, and a grandaughter.
I knew I wanted to become a Realtor after working with Chuck and Sherry to sell my home and buy a new home after my divorce. Their support and expertise helped me through the most difficult time of my life so far. I knew I wanted to be able to help others just as they helped me. I would love to serve you with your real estate needs.
